Adel Municipal Landfill and Recycling Center

As the last remaining member of the South Dallas County Landfill Commission, the City of Adel has decided to dissolve the 28E organizational structure and fold the landfill into the City as a department, effective July 1, 2026.

There will be no operational changes or personnel changes, just a name change to the Adel Municipal Landfill and Recycling Center.

The change will be seamless for customers as you see the new name on signage and invoices and tickets.
