Terry Visits Parks in Adel, Iowa

I love Iowa summers. Each year I dust off my picnic basket, grab my trusty plaid blanket, and head out in search of the perfect shade tree.

Adel is home to nice parks. I started the season at Island Park for a little fishing. I’m not very good at it but I’m very good at relaxing. I checked out the historic bridge that spans over the dam, it’s a view worth seeing!

I also spent an evening at the Kinnick-Feller Park and Adel Municipal Pool. The park is a fun place to plan a get together with a few gazebos and lots of equipment for the kids.

There is a waterway entry point for the brave interested canoeing or kayaking. Personally, I prefer the chlorinated waters of the pool, it’s a great way
