BASE® Prepares for Annual Gomke Fundraiser
BASE® is preparing to kick off their annual fundraising efforts to support the local John D. Gomke Charity in hopes of surpassing last year’s goal of $5,000. Adel, Iowa. October 13th, 2011.
Everyone who participated today stated that this year’s race was a great success!
The morning started at 4:00 a.m. for Jessica and Steve Gomke as the rain fell and the lightning cracked overhead.
Jessica was on the computer by 5:00 letting everyone know the race was still going on that the weather channel showed it clearing off for the race.
Jessica, Steve and volunteers showed up at Kinnick-Feller park at 6:00 a.m. and started setting up and checking in registrants. Jessica enthusiastically told everyone that the rain would pass shortly as she checked the reports on her phone. […] Continue Reading…
