Here is a time line of what to expect in the next week or so of work: The crews should be finishing up the storm and sub-drainage work by next week – June 30.
By the end of that week and into next they will begin moving dirt off the site and begin compacting and grading – July 9.
After that they will begin bringing in truck loads of crushed rock and begin building the sub-base. I believe the contractor and engineer are hopeful that the string line for concrete work can be put in place around the July 9 – 12 time frame.
The crews will be working on Saturdays and Sundays as much as possible and as weather permits.
Please note that temporary one hour parking restrictions will go into place and enforced beginning on Tuesday, July 29th pending city council approval of the resolution authorizing such on Monday night.
This parking restriction is for the downtown area and will be in place for the duration of the street project. It does not apply to areas marked for parking less than one hour, such as 15 or 30 minute loading zone – those remain in effect.
