Sidewalk has been removed from the north side of Main Street. Removal of the surface layer of brick on Court Street is making progress.

The second layer of bricks has been removed from the 800 block of Main St.

The bricks had been buried for over 100 years and as a result, began to crumble when exposed. The city decided to make use of those structurally unsound bricks to shore up the erosion along the river bank caused by repeated flooding.

The work will now shift to removing the existing curb and gutter along Main St. and removal of bricks on Court St.
