Dallas County Iowa Logo

Dallas County has proposed the development of a new Emergency Medical Services (EMS) facility in Adel to address the department’s growing space needs and to enhance its ability to serve both the community and staff efficiently and effectively.

The current EMS building, located at 512 Nile Kinnick Drive S in Adel, no longer meets the operational and staffing requirements of the department.

New EMS BuildingTo provide the public with an opportunity to see the existing facility and better understand the need for the proposed build, Dallas County will host two public open house tours of the current building:

Friday, November 21, from 5:00 – 7:00 pm
Saturday, November 22, from 8:00 am – 12:00 pm

The proposed site for the new EMS facility is on land currently owned by the County, located on the east side of Adel, between Highway 6 and the Raccoon River Valley Trail.

A Board of Supervisors public meeting will be held at 7:00 pm on Wednesday, December 3, 2025, at the Dallas County Administration Building, located at 800 Court Street in Adel.

Members of the public are encouraged to attend to discuss the proposal, ask questions, and hear from County officials regarding the project.
