We need baked goods!
We are asking for donations for the Friends Foundation Bake sale!
Donations should be dropped off on Monday, October 28th, during open hours. Please label your items. We ask that you do not donate items that need refrigeration.
The Bake Sale will be on Tuesday, October 29th, from 9 am-6 pm.
The library will be closed the October 10-11th for professional development.
Monster Trinket Dishes
Tuesday, Oct. 1st at 4-5 pm. This is a registered event. It’s alive! Make a monster trinket dish out of air-dry clay! Come back on October 15th at the same time to paint your creation!
Adult Speaker Series: Planning Ahead for Future Care
Tuesday, Oct. 1st at 10 am. Join Dallas County ISU Extension staff as they present on planning for future care. In this presentation, you will learn how to make future care decisions based on your wishes. You will also learn tips about care planning, organizing medical histories, and communicating with healthcare professionals.
50’s Plus Senior Group
Tuesday, Oct. 1st at 10 am. This all-inclusive senior group will meet in the Adel Public Library Community Room for cards, coffee, and connection. Whether you want to meet new people or spend time with old friends, the goal is to enjoy some social time!
Tail Wagging Readers
Thursday, Oct. 3rd, 4:30-5:30. Visit and read to a furry friend from the A.R.L. Therapets program! Children under eight years of age must be accompanied by an adult caregiver.
Move & Groove Storytime
Every Tuesday at 9:30 am. Join us in the storytime room for a morning of music, movement, rhythm, instruments, and fun!
My First Storytime
Every Wednesday at 9:30 am. Join us for songs, rhymes, bounces, and a story. This program is for children ages 0-36 months and their caregivers.
Preschool Storytime
Every Thursday at 9:30 am. A topical-themed story time consisting of books, music, movement, & crafts. This program is designed for ages 3 – 6 years old.
Yoga at the Library (Adult program)
On Wednesdays at 5:45 Ppm. Free-will donations are accepted for this program. A licensed yoga teacher leads a class to help you relax in the middle of the workweek. All skill levels are welcome. Register for October 2nd, 9th, and 16th.
