Eating healthy and cooking skills go hand in hand.
Kids in the Kitchen is designed to give kindergarten through 4th graders a hands-on experience with making and eating healthy food.
Hands-on activities focus on food science through the use of chemisty, biology, and math in a “kitchen laboratory” setting.
Youth will discover “The Power of Protein Chemistry.” Crack, separate, and cook eggs in different ways and use egg whites to make shuffles. They will investigate “The Inner Mysteries of Fruits and Vegetables.”
Learn causes and solutions to browning in fruits and vegetables and experiment with treatments for cooking appetizing vegetables.
