The Adel Historical Museum is hosting a public informational meeting on Thursday, December 12, 2013, at 5:30 p.m. at the Raccoon Valley Community House, 1016 Main Street, to discuss the museum’s fundraising drive and goal of a new addition to honor the legacy of Nile Kinnick, Jr. and Governor George Washington Clarke.
Refreshments, adult beverages, and snacks will be provided. Following the brief informational meeting, there will be tours of the museum.
Those providing a minimum of a $25.00 donation will receive a Kinnick t-shirt during the tour. Click here to download a donation form.
We really need your help in honoring the legacy of these esteemed individuals by providing an appropriate forum to house commemorative artifacts.
Currently, the items are crowded in a small display. Kinnick and Clarke deserve their own addition. Please join us for this program where you will hear about the many accomplishments of Nile Kinnick, Jr. and his grandfather.
The meeting will also highlight some of the many items the museum has now and why the museum needs space to grow.
