As a member of Adel Partners Chamber of Commerce, we are asking for your support for the Adel-DeSoto-Minburn Scholarship Foundation that recently expanded its outreach efforts, first by affiliating with the Dollars for Scholars organization, and second, by announcing a raffle of a 42-inch plasma flat panel TV donated by Adel TV & Appliance and Short & Company, CPA, P.L.C. to raise additional scholarship funds.

The Foundation’s Board of Trustees decided to join Dollars for Scholars to capitalize on that organization’s resources, and to increase benefits for the school’s scholarship recipients. While the ADM Scholarship Foundation will maintain its independent entity status, affiliation with the Dollars for Scholars gives the Foundation’s scholarship recipients the chance to receive extra scholarship money through Dollars for Scholars’ Collegiate Partners and Matching Partners program.

In addition to joining the Dollars for Scholars, the Foundation is hoping to increase scholarship funds and community awareness of the Foundation by sponsoring a raffle of a 42-inch plasma flat panel TV. Raffle tickets may be purchased for $10.00 each or 3 tickets for $25.00 at many of the retail stores in Adel, at the February 10th girls and boys varsity basketball games and at other events throughout the community. The drawing for the TV will be held on February 28th at the Parade of Bands concert in the gym.

Please support the efforts of the Foundation to be able to give a scholarship to every student graduating from Adel DeSoto Minburn Community High School who wishes to further their education. The Foundation is financed solely through contributions. The interest earned annually is awarded in scholarships. Your purchase of raffle tickets, participation in selling tickets and/or your tax-deductible contribution would be appreciated.
