Absentee Voting Begins in the Dallas County Auditor’s Office on August 21, 2017
Adel, Iowa – Dallas County Auditor and Commissioner of Elections Julia Helm has announced absentee ballots for the September 12, 2017 School Election will be available to be voted in the Dallas County Auditor’s Office on August 21, 2017.
Absentee ballots may be cast in the Dallas County Auditor’s Office at 210 N 10th Street in Adel during regular office hours from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday, through Monday, September 11 2017.
Note: West Central Valley School District Vote Centers (Redfield, Dexter, Stuart, & Menlo) will be opening at noon on September 12, so absentee balloting will be available from 8 a.m. until 11 a.m. at the Auditor’s Office at 210 N 10th Street, Adel
Absentee ballots must be requested in writing. Forms are available at the Auditor’s Office, on the Dallas County Web site http://www.co.dallas.ia.us/ government/auditor/elections or on the Iowa Secretary of State’s Web site at https://sos.iowa.gov/ elections/electioninfo/ absenteeinfo.html. Ballots returned through the mail must be postmarked by midnight the last working day prior to the election, (September 11, 2017) or may be delivered to the Dallas County Auditor’s Office before the polls close (8 p.m.) on Election Day.
All requests for ballots to be mailed must be received by the Auditor’s Office by 5 p.m. September 8, 2017.
