From May 29th to July 20th come into the Adel Public Library to signup for the "Dream Big: Read!" Summer Reading Program. The reading program is open to toddlers, children, teens and adults.
Fun activities of reading and prizes for all ages.
Children who meet reading requirements will be invited to a top reader only pool party.
Teens who meet their reading requirements will have an ice cream party on August 1.

Red Cross Babysitting Certification Class
Receive your babysitting certificate and become a certified sitter.
Participants must be at least 11 years old and need to bring a sack lunch.
To register, sign up at Adel Park/Rec. at Adel City Hall.
This training will help students develop skills in: leadership and professionalism; basic care; safety and safe play; and first aid.

The very popular Art in the Park Class returns for 2012.
Students will do arts and crafts in the open air shelters at the Evans and Kinnick-Feller Parks in Adel. The classes are taught by Bobbie Daggett.
Projects include origami, a recycling collage, leaf printing, drawing, weaving/tying and much more.
Schedule:
- Session 1: June 25th - June 29th at Evans Park.
- Session 2: July 9th -13th at Kinnick-Feller Park.
- Grades 1-3: 9:00 a.m. -10:30 am for the 1st session and 10:30 am-Noon for the 2nd session.
- Grades 4-6: 10:30am-Noon during the 1st session and 9:00 am-10:30 am for the 2nd session.
Cost is $40.00
Deadline to register for the June class is June 15th.
Deadline to register for the July class is June 29th.
