From May 29th to July 20th come into the Adel Public Library to signup for the "Dream Big: Read!" Summer Reading Program. The reading program is open to toddlers, children, teens and adults.
Fun activities of reading and prizes for all ages.
Children who meet reading requirements will be invited to a top reader only pool party.
Teens who meet their reading requirements will have an ice cream party on August 1.

The Little Sisters 2012 Outdoor Quilt Show - June 22-23rd

The Little Sisters Outdoor Quilt Show (named after the famed Sisters Outdoor Quilt Show in Sisters, Oregon) is June 22nd and 23rd.
In addition to a large assortment of beautiful quilts in the quilt shop yard, there will also be a Silent Auction of hand made quilted items. All proceeds go to the Aedl Public Library.
Enter your quilt to be displayed:
- The quilt must be finished and will hang outdoors
- Drop off your quilt for entry by June 21st.
- Pick up is Saturday June 23rd after 4:00 p.m.
- In the event of bade weather, show will be held inside.
Proceeds will be donated to the Adel Library as a thank you for all of the quilt gatherings held there.
Guests who come to view the quilts will vote on their favorites.
Winning quilts will be photographed for the Annual Calendar of Quilts and Recipes, to be published in September .
