"Dream Big Read" 2012 Reading Program at Adel Library

From May 29th to July 20th come into the Adel Public Library to signup for the "Dream Big: Read!" Summer Reading Program. The reading program is open to toddlers, children, teens and adults.

Fun activities of reading and prizes for all ages.

Children who meet reading requirements will be invited to a top reader only pool party.

Teens who meet their reading requirements will have an ice cream party on August 1.

Dallas County Family Fishing Fun

Take advantage of Iowa’s free fishing weekend (no fishing license required) and bring the family out for an afternoon of outdoor fun. Dallas County Conservation will have rods and reels to borrow.

Seasoned volunteers and naturalists will be on hand to assist new anglers with learning basics; including baiting a hook, casting a line, landing a fish, identification, measurement and release
