Nuts for Sale - United Methodist Church

The United Methodist Women are again taking orders for nuts which will arrive in mid - November.
To order nuts and/or fruits to have for baking or just munching, please speak to a U.M.W. member - or directly to Joan Bowles (993-3188), who will be taking your orders.
This popular fund-raising effort of the U.M.W. allows you a great opportunity to have quality nuts and fruits for all your holiday baking needs!

Farewell Reception for Chad Bird, Sep. 30th.

Chad is taking a position for the city of Decorah, and last day is Friday.
The reception will be held from 3:30 to 6 p.m. at the Adel City Hall. Refreshments will be provided.

Adel's Divine Dancers will be holding a Children's Christmas Store on the Holiday Tour, but first we need your help!
We are now accepting donations at the Adel Tumbling and Dance Club every Sunday, from 1:45 p.m. to 5:45 p.m.
We are looking for SMALL, non clothing items that you would be willing to donate.
Candles, plates, tins, jewelry, toys etc.. anything you can think of!
Then, at the Holiday Tour, your children can have a chance to purchase items for $ .25 cents each, and can feel special by having Christmas presents of their own to give to their loved ones.
Donations will be accepted starting Sunday Sept. 25 through November.

13th Annual Pork BBQ and Pie Auction - Washington Township
[ September 24, 2011; 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm. ]
Washington Township, just North of Adel, will hold it's 13th Annual Pork BBQ and Pie Auction.
Come out and enjoy Barbecued Pork, corn, green beans, pies and baked goods.
All available for a free will offering Saturday, September 24 from 5-7 p.m.
Proceeds will go towards the renovation and upkeep of the Washington Township schoolhouse.
Church Auction - Sept. 24th.

The DeSoto United Methodist Church will hold a Public Auction on Saturday, September 24th at, 421 Dallas St.
The church will serve lunch from 11 a.m.-1 p.m.
The auction starts at 1 p.m.
Items for bid include, 4 quarters of beef, 4 sides of pork, Blue Ribbon pies, furniture, quilts, stained glass window, and lots more.
Library’s Monthly Garage Sale - Sept 23 & 24th

The Adel Public Library’s monthly garage sale will be held this weekend. Every month there are interesting finds at great deals.
Friday, Sept. 23 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Saturday, Sept. 24 from 10 a.m. until noon.
Many items are added weekly so be sure to see what’s “new.”
Proceeds from the sale will be used for library projects.
