The Strengthening Families Program, provided by ISU Extension, Dallas County will begin in January, 2012, in Adel.
This nationally recognized program is open to all families with children ages 10-14. The sessions cover: family communication, using love and limits, setting goals, teen stress and how to resist peer pressure.
If you want to help your child navigate safely and successfully through his or her teen years and strengthen your relationship at the same time, this program is for you.
Cost: Free
Light lunch and child care is available free of charge.

Father-Daughter Dance in Adel

Join us for the Father- Daughter Dance in Adel Saturday, February 5th from 7-9pm at the ADM Middle School.

The Pasta Night and Quilt Raffle will be held at the United Methodist Church in Adel on Friday, January 21 from 5-7 p.m.
Friday's menu includes Pasta, Garlic Bread, Salad, Dessert and a Drink. Adult tickets are $6 and Kids $3. You can feed the whole family for just $15!

Adel Attorney Randy Hefner Appointed District Judge

Newly appointed District Judge Randy V. Hefner of Adel will take his oath of office at 3 pm January 27th, at the Dallas County Courthouse.
Mr. Hefner was a lawyer at the Hefner and Bergkamp Law Firm when Governor Chet Culver appointed him to the bench in December 2010.
Randy Hefner will serve as a judge in Judicial District 5A, which is part of a 16-county region in south-central Iowa.
As a result, attorneys Jamie Bergkamp and Matt Hemphill purchased Hefner's law office which will
