Iowa’s Only Sheep & Wool Festival

The Iowa Sheep & Wool Festival takes place at the Dallas County Fairgrounds on Saturday and Sunday, June 12-13. Admission is $5, Parking is Free.
Saturday, June 12th the activities include spinning, weaving, and knitting demonstations, sheep shearing, and a lamb cooking demonstation by Chef Ken Dunn.
You can also take part in the World Wide Knit in Public Day.
Sunday, June 13th enjoy the traditional Celtic music of Flatland Rambler, lamb cook- off, and sheepdogs exhibits.
Tour The Raccoon

Registration for the second annual Tour The Raccoon bicycle tour is now available! Tour organizers hope to have 250 bike riders using the full Raccoon River Valley Trail June 12-13.
Each community along the trail will have special activities for riders to attend, with overnight accomedations in Jefferson during the Bell Tower Festival.
Tour the Raccoon is sponsored by the Des Moines Cycle Club.
