2010 Adel Holiday Tour of Homes

Tour Adel, Iowa Sunday, December 5th!

2010 is the 20th year of the Adel Holiday Home Tour and the fourth year that it has been sponsored by the Adel Historical Museum.

This year's tour will be held on December 5th from 1pm to 4pm.

Tickets for the tour are $6 and include the homes of Gene and Naomi Maas, Dan and Jana Heefner, Bob and Nadine Law, Ed and Patty Origer and Craig and Wendy Poldberg, and the Adel Historical Museum.

Hot cider and the favorite cookie of 1945 to 1950, Holiday Fruit Drops, will be served at the museum for you to enjoy as you view the holiday decorations and 8 rooms filled with Adel history. Don't miss the new Orton Brothers Circus display!

Persons touring the homes will be able to see the decorating styles, Christmas themes and individual collections of the homeowners.

The homeowners will also be available to answer any questions about their home. The tour organizers ask that those touring be over 8 years old, except for babes in arms.

The Adel Holiday Home Tour was begun in 1989 to support beautification, historic preservation and restoration projects in the Adel community.

Tickets can be purchased before the day of the tour at Adel Quilting and Dry Goods, the Atherton House, and Garden Gate Antiques.

Tickets will also be sold the day of the tour at the Adel Historical Museum from 11am to 3pm.
